WinHelp

WinHelp 1.0 (HLP) has been around since the early '90s and has now largely been superseded by HTML Help 1.x (CHM). Under Microsoft Windows Vista (formerly code-named "Longhorn") and released in a few month WinHelp will not ship with the operating system. The engine will be downloadable.
